I teach reading and part of my instruction is to teach a poetry unit. I never really thought twice about poetry, didn’t hate it, didn’t jump for joy for it. I have my students write poetry which always freaks them out. My approach is to make it as simple and fun as possible. By doing this, I have learned to really enjoy poetry, reading it and writing it. As a result, this blog is to provide me a place to write it and enjoy to read others.
